Important Information
- To explore some places in the interior of the traditional villages through the villager’s footpath. It maybe muddy, puddles and crossing wooden bridges. Prepare yourself for all possibilities that may occur.

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival In Wamena – Explore North Of Baliem Valley (-/L/-)
Upon arrival at Wamena airport transfer to Baliem Pilamo Hotel. We begin our tour to Kumugima in direction to the northern part of the Baliem Valley. Few kilometers from Town by drive to Aikima & Kumugima village to explore the Local traditional people of baliem valley. Along the way you will find the Danis working in their sweet potatoes fields and will see their daily activities and learn about their way of life in Suroba. Walk through the pine forest, enjoy the beautiful nature setting and crossing a bridge over Aike river before you arrive at the main road where the car is waiting for you. We will hike in 1-2 hours through the beautiful countryside and traditional houses of Dani people. Continue to Sumpaima, In Sumpaima village we will see a very old mummy of the famous Dugum clan is proudly presented for your viewing. In the vicinity we will see more picturesque hamlets. Everywhere the friendly natives offer their arts and crafts, weapons and curiosities for our inspection. Stop in the traditional local market & Napua, Late afternoon drive back to the Hotel, Dinner will be on your account. Accommodation in the hotel (Walk approx. 1-2 hours).
Day 02: Wamena – Trekking To Wamarek (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will use a 4WD car to go to one of the villages in the southern part of the Baliem Valley which will take around 1,5 hours. Note: When the road is impassable by vehicles due to local conditions, we must walk by finding another route to reach Wamerek, maybe we have to walk for about 4-5 hours. Along the road we can see a very enchanting panorama of the Baliem Valley until we reach the village we are going to, It is Tangma village. On the way to Tangma we can stop for a moment to straighten us out and enjoy the beauty of mountains or take pictures. From Tangma village we will need to walk for 1 hour in flat ground, while enjoying stunning views of the hills. In the evening we can visit local people to interact with them. Lunch in box is provided and dinner will prepared by our cook. We stay overnight in people’s houses or guest house in this village using sleeping bags and mattresses. (Walk approx. 1-2 hours).
Day 03: Trekking To Wasegalep (B/L/D)
The next morning after breakfast continue trekking to Wesagalep village for about 6 hours. You are proceeding to cross a hanging bridge over Baliem river, to cross this bridge you have to pay more attention as the bridge may sway due to the force of the wind. Lunch will be served at a small waterfall and you may refresh yourself in the water. The way to Wesagalep village from the river is going up the hill and you again can see the gorgeous scenery from the other side. Dinner will be prepared by our cook and Set up a tent inside a Local People’s house or school (Walk Approx. 6-7 hours)
Day 04: Trekking To Wuserem (B/L/D)
Leaving Wesagalep village in the morning after breakfast, we will trek up hill in 30 minutes, and when you arrive at the top of hill, we walk through the Dani sweet potatoes gardens, after we are going to enter a small rain forest with a sponge of mosses, no one live permanently in this forest. Lunch will have at the river, and then proceed to Userem village on the regular path. Dinner will be prepared by our cook & Set up a tent inside a Local People’s house or school (Walk approx. 6-7 hours)
Day 05: Trekking To Yetni River - Wamena (B/L/-)
The last day we trekk, after breakfast from Wuserem village in the southern of Baliem Valley gorge, we hike 4-5 hours to Kurima. The still traditional Dani village are very close and can be briefly explore during the hike to Kurima. The local people life and traditional remain unchanged here, and the sophisticate agriculture system has been practiced along time ago. Lunch will be served in the river bank. Arrive in Kurima in the afternoon then continue walking to Yetni river where our car waiting us in the terminal. We drive 1 hour to the the town of Wamena with all our cook & porters. Dinner will be on your account.

Day 06: Flight Return To Jayapura - Lake Sentani (B/L/-)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Jayapura. Upon your arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura by car drive from the Airport to Teletubis Hills which is located on the edge of Lake Sentani towards the opposite city of Jayapura in about 15 minutes. From the parking lot you have to walk to reach the maximum height so that the Enchantment of Lake Sentani is more visible and amazing which is surrounded by hills. Here you can enjoy the beauty of Lake Sentani and its surroundings. 30 Minutes drive to Kalkote Dock to have a local boat for excursion at Lake Sentani, we could do a lake tour 1-2hours in the this lake by seeing local people with their traditional life in Asey Village. Walk around and seeing the local people of Sentani tribe making & selling their arts, bark painting, neckles, and variety of handy craft. Lunch at Youwga Local restaurant near lake Sentani. On the way to get to downtown of Jayapura, about 20 minutes away from the city center we will stop at the TVRI Transmitter. From this height the view of the city of Jayapura is very charming with the wind blowing you into the memories of the history of the second world war in the city of Jayapura when the Japanese army controlled the city of Jayapura, formerly called Hollandia as the provincial capital of Netherland New Guinea. At the end of tour visit Hamadi Market. Check In to your accommodation in the town of Jayapura . Dinner will be on your account.
Day 07: Jayapura – Next Destination (B/-/-)
Breakfast in the hotel, On time transfer to the airport for your flight to Sorong, Makasar, Jakarta or Denpasar.
