This tour is quite tough and very challenging, if you like exploring and seeing nature that has not been touched by technology and modernization, amazing natural landscapes, springs flowing from the hills and rainforests that may have never been touched by many travelers (day3-day7), this is the treking route that you must explore.

Important Information
- To explore some places in the interior of the traditional villages through the villager’s footpath. It may be muddy, puddles and crossing wooden bridges. Prepare yourself for all possibilities that may occur.
- Transport used: Minibus Non Air condition
- Prepare the necessary needs during the trip. Maximum 1 backpack with a max weight of 15 kg per participant.
- During trekking you will carry a daypack containing drinking water,raincoat and other personal needs.
- Be advised to provide your own sleeping mats and sleeping bags to fit body size
- This tour cannot be done from 1st July to 30th August due to the limited number of Guides in our Company.

Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival Wamena (-/-/-)
Arrive at sentani Airport of Jayapura in the morning before 08:00am, meet with your guide and take a short flight in 50 minutes to Baliem at 10:00am or 12:00pm. (please note: the flights are delayed very often due bad weather, technical problem, operational of flight). After arriving in Wamena, transfer to and overnight at The Baliem Pilamo Hotel or similar. Enjoy your leisure afternoon. Lunch and dinner will be on your account.
Day 02 : Wamena – Yuarima – Yogosem (B/L/D)
Breakfat at hotel, our trek today is not too long and easy trek. By 4 Wheel Drive transfer to Yuarima village for 1,5 hours in direction to the south of baliem valley. This is a new road that was recently opened, some of it is still damaged and muddy when it rains. But along the way you can enjoy the amazing natural beauty from a height. Arrive in Yuarima then start trek follow the trail of the Dani from the riverside up to Yogosem. Yogosem lie on the higher altitude than Wamena. (Wamena is about 1,600 m above sea level). All the way we will be passing through the hilly terrain of Dani home, on the right side are the Dani gardens with sweet potatoes and taro plants. Set up tents in the people’s homes or in the Church. The walk today is about 4 – 5 hours.
Day 03: Yogosem – Syopkosa (B/L/D)
The trail is getting more strenuous than yesterday. We leave the houses and the garden of the Dani. No villages to see on the way today. We will be passing through the highland forest dominated by trees and ferns. In some parts of the trail, we will cross some rivers, take a lunch break in the middle of the forest when we come across a clear spring. Most of the walk is heading uphill. We are at the altitude of about 1900 today. In the evening, the temperature can be ice cool and the wind blows very hard. Set up tents in the people’s homes . We need 6 – 7 hours of walk.
Day 04 : Syokosa – Kali Kwik - Mobukama (B/L/D)
Leaving Syokosa village in the morning after breakfast, most of the walk is heading downhill and when you arrive at the top of hill, we walk through the Dani sweet potatoes gardens, after we are going to enter a small rain forest with a sponge of mosses, no one live permanently in this forest. Lunch will have at the river of Kali kwik, and then proceed to Mobukama village on the regular path, dinner and set up tents in people’s homes. We need 6 – 7 hours of walk.
Day 05 : Mobukama – Wapisik – Soba (B/L/D)
Today’s trekking is harder than the previous day. After breakfast at a local’s house, we will continue our trek into the wilderness. We can only see some people working in the sweet potato plantation located on the hillside. We might meet some people who still wear traditional clothes on this trip such as koteka (koteka is a plant like a gourd to cover the male genitals). Lunch will be served enroute. Up and down the hills for about 5 hours which are generally in the middle of the rainforest. Dinner and set up tents in people’s homes or in the church. The walk today is about 6 – 7 hours.
Day 06 : Soba – Hokulukpalek – Kayo (B/L/D)
After breakfast, the trekking conditions are still going up and down hills and crossing the sweet potato plantations of the people of Soba village for 5 hours. Hokulukpalek village is located in the middle between Soba village and Kayo village. Meanwhile, Kayo village only has a population of no more than 30 families. We are at the altitude of about 2,100 today. In the evening, the temperature can be cool around 10-15 degrees Celsius. Set up tents in people’s homes. We need 5-6 hours of walk.
Day 07 : Kayo - Werima – Pukam (B/L/D)
Still going down and up the hills is very challenging even so you will never get bored with this trip because at any time you can see the stunning scenery and meet the friendly people during the trip to Pukam village. The source of clean water in this area never runs out and stops even during the dry season. Dinner and set up tents in people’s homes. The walk today is about 5 – 6 hours.
Day 08 : Pukam – Kalilubuk – Wuserem (B/L/D)
To reach Kalillubuk we still need 5-6 hours to hike up and down the hills and narrow plantations owned by the Dani tribe. If it rains, the ground conditions will be muddy and slippery or we will see the ground eroded by rainwater so that the route to Wuserem today will take a long time. But rest assured you will never get bored with the natural beauty that occurs naturally that you will never have seen before. set up tents in people’s homes. The walk today is about 6 – 7 hours.
Day 09 : Wuserem – Yetni River– Wamena (B/L/-)
Breakfast and then and follow the regular path down until Wesangma. Today is easier trekking and but the landscape is very beautiful by passing through the Dani gardens and small compounds of Dani People. We hike 3 hours down to Mugi river in near Wesangma village, Make a rest for lunch box in the river bank. After lunch, then proceed to Kurima and Yetni for about 2 hours another easy walk. From Yetni we use a car to drop us to the town of Wamena. Check in to Baliem Pilamo hotel in the city. Dinner will be on your account. The walk today is about 5 – 6 hours.
Day 10: Wamena, Mock Battle / Traditional Dance, Traditional Market (B/L/-)
Visit North of Baliem Valley to see a special “Mock Battle” is one of the most interesting exhibitions you will see on traveling to Papua. Photographer and moviemakers has said that this unique event cannot be described by words alone, you have to see it with your own eyes. Lunchboxes will be served in the villages. On our way back we will visit the famous Kontilola Cave and stop at traditional market. Return to the Hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner will be on your account.
Day 11: Wamena - By Flight To Jayapura / City Tour (B/L/-)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Jayapura. Upon your arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura by car drive from the Airport to Teletubis Hills which is located on the edge of Lake Sentani towards the opposite city of Jayapura in about 15 minutes. From the parking lot you have to walk to reach the maximum height so that the Enchantment of Lake Sentani is more visible and amazing which is surrounded by hills. Here you can enjoy the beauty of Lake Sentani and its surroundings. 30 minutes drive to Kalkote Dock to have a local boat for excursion at Lake Sentani, we could do a lake tour 1-2hours in the this lake by seeing local people with their traditional life in Asey Vilagge. Walk around and seeing the local people of Sentani tribe making & selling their arts, bark painting, neckles, and variety of handy craft. Lunch at Youwga Local restaurant near lake Sentani.
On the way to get to downtown of Jayapura, about 20 minutes away from the city center we will stop at the TVRI Transmitter. From this height the view of the city of Jayapura is very charming with the wind blowing you into the memories of the history of the second world war in the city of Jayapura when the Japanese army controlled the city of Jayapura, formerly called Hollandia as the provincial capital of Netherland New Guinea. At the end of tour visit Hamadi Market. Check In to Mercury Hotel. Dinner will be on your account.
Day 12: Flight Jayapura - Next Destination (B/-/-)
Breakfast in the hotel, On time transfer to the airport for your flight to Sorong, Makasar, Jakarta or Denpasar.
